Chester Gould wrote and drew the Dick Tracy strip from the 30’s to the 70’s, and I imagine that kept him busy.  Still, it’s a shame we never really saw him cross over and do any work for other comic book companies. How cool would it have been to see his take on characters like Green Arrow, Batman or Spider-Man – not to mention their rogues galleries?
